Mogul Khan, the Axe Guide

In the war of Humans and Orcs that occured long ago many Orcish warriors were corrupted by demonic influence and became tools of blackest darkness. One such warrior was the leader of the Half-Tribe of the Bloodied Axe Clan; Mogul Kahn. Mogul was slain by human Paladins but mysteriously was seen fighting alongside the Scourge around the time Mannaroth started to command the Orcs in the war against Archimonde. The Axe has been revived by demons and uses his reflexes and powerful blows to hunt down and seek out the Sentinels\ agile warriors and cut them down to size, even projecting his lust for war onto them.

Berserker’s Call (E)
Mogul Khan focuses all of his enemy’s hatred on him, causing them to attack him at all costs.
300 AOE.
Level 1 - Lasts 1.5 seconds, 5 bonus armor.
Level 2 - Lasts 2 seconds, 10 bonus armor.
Level 3 - Lasts 2.5 seconds, 15 bonus armor.
Level 4 - Lasts 3 seconds, 20 bonus armor.

Battle Hunger ®
Afflicts a target with a terrible killing hunger. The target will take damage per second until it kills a unit.
Level 1 - 15 damage/second, lasts 10 seconds.

Level 3 - 20 damage/second, lasts 20 seconds.
Level 4 - 25 damage/second, lasts 25 seconds.

Counter Helix (X)
Mogul Kahn counters some blows made to him by taking the attacking unit and swinging it around violently, dealing damage to all nearby enemy units.
17% chance to counter throughout all levels.

Level 4: 175 damage

Culling Blade ©
Purges the weak from Mogul Kahn’s sight. Deals moderate damage, but will kill a target that is low on life.

Level 3 - Deals 300 damage, will kill if target is below 625.

Reason - This is the Hybrid build (we think) it is a balanced way to play axe,you gotta max counter helix(asap) you could use call for early ganks and battle hunger incase an enemy hero trying to run away from you and you don’t have culling blade yet to make them suffer from hunger

Reason - Counter helix and stats are the way to go,get call at lvl9 so u can gank a little bit,counter helix and stats are got first because you wont need call while jungling,you wont need battle hunger while jungling,stats will help you more,to cover your HP.

REASON
Blink Dagger - Ah….your key item to pawn mid game.I will explain on how to use this item in the tricks section to make this item worthwhile for it’s price.

BOT - BOT vs PT,BOT wins for obvious reasons,PT gives 10str,+65 ms and +35% attack speed….well…..the only thing you need from PT is the ms,while BOT covers it all up.You don’t need the life,damage and attack speed(vanguard can cover the life for ya),thus the TP given by BOT is bad to waste.

Heart - What kind of a tank doesn’t buy a heart?

Vanguard - Rush this item its a must on axe.Regen,block and life.Axe would really want this item,while he’s tanking everyone he catches after using call.

Assault cuirass is the best luxury item for axe,it gives out attack speed and 15 armor!!
Note:The attack speed supports your allies.the attack speed given isn’t really needed for you,but
I suggest you get this item because it gives big ass armor and -5armor aura to your enemies!

Melee Eye of Skadi is an orb effect, and does not stack with orb effects; Ranged Eye of Skadi is NOT an orb effect, and stacks with some orb effects

Could be an nice item for him,although it is too expensive and the stats given are pointless except the strength given of course.Int and agi isn’t that much needed.

Dagon

400 Damage to Single Target

To think that i do get this item before happy.gif.I thought about it…….And I thought about it,sny isn’t really needed for axe. Why?Culling blade has enough range,you have blink dagger so you wont need the extra ms that sny gives,BOT can cover for your ms,the agi given is also pointless.

Shiva’s Guard
Shop Level: New Recipes
Description:
+30 Intelligence
+15 Armor
-25% Attack Speed Aura (enemies)
Frost Nova (Active)
-Slows Enemies Movespeed by 40% for 4 seconds.
-Deals 200 damage.
Cooldown: 30 Seconds

You don’t need anything from shiva’s except the armor given.Although the active skill is kinda useful,its more of a pub item for axe.

Aghanim’s Scepter

Passive: Improves Ultimates for Lina Inverse, Zeus, Furion, Keeper of the Light, Rylai, Rhasta, Queen of Pain, Venomancer, Lich, Leshrac, Lion, Luna, Necrolyte, Ogre Magi, Pugna, Lucifer and Witch Doctor

Lifesteal items are definitely not needed.Your not gonna attack so much,you would be spinning.

Vanguard
Shop Level: New Recipes
Description:
+5 HP regen/second
+250 Hit Points
65% to block 40 damage

Don’t get a 2nd vanguard,it could be useful.But saving for a reaver then complete heart would be much better.
Rune Section


Haste - So that you can roam around the map to get a couple of kills.
Invisibility - Main purpose for ganking.Use this rune and go to the nearest enemy and tell your ally to harass him,then use your call and battle hunger and end it with a culling blade!
Note:I only place the runes that could be useful for axe.

Strategy

Early Game - Get a stout shield and tangoes.Choose top if senti and down if scourge,use the Charge! technique to harass your enemy.Farm for your vanguard while harassing your enemy(you can farm it while harassing because of counter helix).Buy ring of health first then vitality booster to complete vanguard.Do the Hunger-harass with a spinning flirp technique then finish it off with a death-bringing culling blade.Continue to farm for your blink dagger.

Middle Game - Ah….now you have your dagger(always bring tp btw,your a pretty good defender,if your team is having trouble with pushing and defending please bring a tp all the time which is why i advice you to buy BOT).Time to use the Jump in and scream technique,always use this if you plan to gank a lonely farmer,or even to start clashes,use culling blade to ks.get your BOT when you have the money.

Late Game - focus on pushing/defending,finish it off with a heart(your a tank remember that many heroes love to hit you simply because your a big and fat hero with the flag thingy on your back).Your aim is to catch everyone with the Jump and scream technique and btw your culling blade is not that useful late game(huhuhuhu).Get your ass a cuirass and it should be over!


Jungling


Jungling could be a good choice for Axe.Your starting items are the same though,no change at all except your lane(which you dont have).Just keep killing neutrals and gank whenever you are needed with the team,but i suggest to go to a lane because it would really help your allies.Your not only a tank/early/mid game killer,your also a pusher/defender!
Tricks


Jump in and Scream to the heavens! - Use blink dagger and simply use call,but pls try to catch everyone in the call so your allies can pawn on them.

Do not run we are your friends! - This is useful early / mid game whenever your opponents are wind walkers,this is really useful.Use the charge technique to harass them and(they will probably WW by now).Use call to make them attack you and finish it off with culling bladex

Charge! - A common technique,yet your main harassing skill.Simply target the enemy hero and the creeps should be attacking you and you’ll keep spinning around with your enemy.

Hunger - harass with a spinning flirp - Use battle hunger and charge technique at the same time,if they run it would hurt him because of the battle hunger or if he tries to last hit it would hurt them from your counter helix.
Good Allies and Bad Enemies



Good Allies





These are all stunners.Why?Stunners give you time to position yourself to make a call.
Note:They are not really useful if you have blink dagger.If you plan not to get blink dagger then these are your best friends!

He’s your best friend because of vacuum(make him use vacuum to your enemies and bring them near to you).

Why?He uses stun then he uses epicenter but when he starts channeling for his epicenter you blink in and call and bye bye to your enemy!

She gets a special mention!Tell her to use swap then you call then battle hunger then keep spinning around and a stun for venge would be good then finish it off with a culling blade!

This could be a good combination.use your call then let yurnero decide if he uses blade fury or omnislash,either way is good.


Bad Enemies

His ulti can rip you to sheds,but he would need an ally to take you down to hell.

hes your big competitor late game,although you got no problems with him during early/mid game,dont make him farm or you’ll die a painful death!

she could be a pain to you early/late game at early game she can harass you alot with her frost arrows and making it hard for you to harass her at late game she could kill you but it would take her time.

i hate this ursa,he could kill you even if you have a heart and a vanguard(huhuhu)
